Hi, I am Jonathan
I Am Really Glad You Are Here
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Glendora, California, working with individuals and couples both in person and virtually across the state.
Like many of the people I sit with, I know what it’s like to feel stuck.
For me, that has looked like anxiety that doesn’t quite turn off, a critical voice that keeps showing up, and moments of feeling unsure of who I am or what direction I’m supposed to take. At times, that led me to shut down, avoid, or feel caught in patterns that didn’t seem to change.
What began to shift things for me wasn’t trying harder or forcing change. It was learning how to slow down, understand what was happening inside of me, and begin to respond to myself with more compassion.
That experience deeply shapes the way I show up as a therapist.
I believe that real change happens when you feel understood, when there’s a safe and honest relationship in the room, and when you begin to relate to yourself in a different way.
When I’m not working, I’m usually outside.
I enjoy trail running, skiing, and spending time in the mountains whenever I can. I also love being with my wife, experimenting with making a better-than-average latte, and occasionally getting into a good video game.
My approach to therapy is relational, experiential, and grounded in helping you slow down and connect with what’s happening beneath the surface.
Rather than focusing only on symptom relief, we pay attention to the patterns that keep showing up and begin to shift them in a way that feels meaningful and lasting.
Instead of trying to push past what you’re feeling or get rid of certain reactions, we take a different approach. We slow things down and begin to notice what’s happening inside with curiosity and compassion.
As your relationship with what’s happening inside begins to change, the patterns that once felt automatic can begin to shift.
I work with individuals and couples to help create change from the inside out. Together, we make space for what’s really going on, so you’re not just managing symptoms, but actually moving toward something different.
